Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #8670, an H-10S (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built by the American Locomotive Company during October of 1913 and retired in October of 1953 after 40 years of faithful service. Note the "doghouse" on the tender!

Description:  Here is an original photo by an unidentified photographer that was taken in Chicago, Illinois, in June of 1953. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #8670, an H-10S (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built by the American Locomotive Company during October of 1913 and retired in October of 1953. Partially visible at the left is PRR engine #9877, an EF-15A built by GM-EMD is September of 1952, rated at 1,500 horsepower, and retired in October of 1967. Wilson E. Jones Collection; #3 of 6.
