| Description: |
Santa Cruz and Big Trees 2524 rests in Watsonville. 2524 was built in late 1949 as an F7A for Santa Fe. In the mid 70s, the locomotive was rebuilt at Cleburne as a CF7. When ATSF was looking to sell off their CF7s, the Red River Valley and Western, an affiliate of Twin Cities and Western, purchased several of the CF7s. This unit and its sister 2467 were then purchased by the Texas Rock Crusher Railway, who in turn sold it to the SCBG in June of 2018. |
