C.S. Jackson General IC 1038 with a Freight Train and GTW 5834 coming through sidon and you caught them in Wyatt, MS. I say that's perfect timing. What happened. Another southbounder was on the tracks? 10/30/2006 2:20:25 PM
william davis General I chase trains & film them multiple times, which is why they were seen at different locations on the same day. This local came after the freight with IC 1038 leading 10/30/2006 5:19:15 PM
C.S. Jackson General Those GTW GP38-2's are very useful for handling locals. I remeber seeing one of those coming through Senatobia, Miss. leading L-577 through town along with IC SD40-2 #6072 around 10:00 A.M. October 23, 2006 This is the first time I seen the IC Deathstar Logo in person 11/11/2006 10:00:54 PM
william davis General You're right there, I have just returned from spending a week on the CN/IC Yazoo Sub from 11/08 to 11/13/06. I saw a grand total of 2 GTW units still in GTW paint, but I did see a few others that were repainted into CN paint. Both GTW units were GP38-2'S & were on road freights, but like you said these days they're usually seen on locals. I saw alot of variety, CN, IC, GTW, HLCX, CSXT, NS, UP, BNSF, & WC. Speaking of locals I saw a pair of CN GP9U'S on L-590 ( Jackson to Yazoo City Turn ), which in my opinion was the best consist I saw on the Yazoo Sub this week. The Lambert local was & probably still is using WC GP40 3018 this week. I also saw WC GP40 3007 head south trailing on Q194, probably working in New Orleans or Jackson, I'm sure it went as far as Jackson anyway. 11/14/2006 7:54:36 PM
