PC #8084 is an RS-12 built by Baldwin-Lima-Hamilton as Pennsylvania Railroad number "8975" in April of 1951, rated at 1,200 horsepower, and renumbered "8084" in preparation for the PRR-NYC merger. This photo comes from a color slide set entitled "Baldwins in Action ~ On North-Eastern Railroads" that's produced and distributed by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (892-27). |
