Great Northern F7A 317-A          
Great Northern F7A 317-A rests inside the roundhouse at Belknap St. in Superior WI October 1970. Notice the wrecked hulk of BN GP5 1364 which went off an open span in the MN/WI drawbridge between Duluth and Superior. The accident was August 27, 1970 and the 1364 was recovered at the Port Terminal in Duluth in early September. The 1364 was towed by barge to the Port Terminal and lifted out with the Clyde cranes. The 1364 was brought back to Superior and repaired over the winter of 1970/71 with its high hood repaired. Russ Porter Photo.
