| Freshly-remanufactured Union Pacific AC4400CWM units 6962 and 6923 were on the Wabtec test track just north of the builder’s plant at Fort Worth. The 6962 was fully painted, while the 6923 was still in primer, but with temporary reflective yellow frame stripes. It is not very common for units to test in primer, but this has happened before. The locomotives had been built as 7500-series AC6000CW units and were renumbered when they were repowered with 4400-horsepower prime movers. |
