| Originally built by Baldwin-Westinghouse in September of 1929 as Illinois Central #10002, it was sold to the Chicago, South Shore & South Bend in 1941 to become CSS #902. Along with its sister units ex-IC 1000-10004, they were painted orange and served the CSS for many years before the "Little Joes" arrived for heavier duty loads. Unfortunately no photographer was listed for this historic view. |
