A GP39-3R is the second unit on a BNSF local heading north towards Balmer Yard. BNSF 2662 was built in 1965 as a GP35, and originaly worked for the Santa Fe railway. The engine was transferred to BNSF after the ATSF/BN merger, and was eventually rebuilt with updated electronic systems. Note that the 2662 wears BNSFs H4 scheme with orange and black colors, while lead unit 2265 wears the older H1 paint with orange and green colors. |
