PRR GG1 #4864
A lone Pennsylvania GG1 crosses over to another track to avoid a parked steam locomotive on the same track. No exact date or location was given for this photo. The photo credit goes to "Bob's Photo." Thanks to Robert Hess & Ben Helsel (see comments below) for helping to fix the location and correct the loco number. Thanks, guys for your help!

Ben Helsel General This looks like South Amboy Nj on the NY&LB 6/7/2022 1:18:16 PM
Robert Hess General That is definitely South Amboy, NJ. The GG1 has uncoupled from the westbound train on the left and is proceeding to the enginehouse. The K4s will then continue on to Bay Head Jct. with the train. The GG1 in this photo has a drop coupler pilot, which was fitted beginning with No. 4858. So it looks like the number of this engine is 4864. 6/7/2022 2:10:36 PM
