Swartz. Here is a photo by William A. Swartz that was taken in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 16 May 1937. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6926, an M-1 (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during November of 1926 and retired in September of 1955 after 29 years of faithful service. In this context, it's one of eleven PRR locomotives put on display for the "Altoona Shops Inspection Trip." (See related entries for more details.) (#8 of 8)
