UP 4001
UP 4001 gets some brief R&R in Green River. A worker inspects the pistons while another loads coal into the centipede tender. World War 2 has begun, and regular cleaning of the engines has mostly stopped, as they are constantly on the move, shuttling troops and supplies across the Wasatch range. Obtained from Union Pacific Steam: Big Boy Portraits (Bush, Ehernberger)
