| Built by the Montreal Locomotive Works in 1916 as Canadian Northern Rwy #2476, it merged onto the CN roster in 1919. Specs - serial #59423, class N-2-b, 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 24x32" cylinders, engine weight of 241,500 lb, tractive effort of 49,737 lb. The locomotive was scrapped in October of 1961.No date, location or photographer was listed for the photo but obviously its at the Orillia depot in Ontario. Bruce Gemmel found the photographer to be Herbert Harwood with an approximate date of 7/16/58. |
