CR GG1 #4809
Whitelined and labeled "SCRAP", this once powerful locomotive sits in a scrap line at Enola, PA. Built by GE in July of 1935, the loco served the Pennsylvania, then Penn Central and finally Conrail before retirement in February of 1980. Conrail conductor Ken Taylor documented the long scrap line it sits in two years later.
