CMO 0-6-0 #83 - Chicago, St Paul, Minneapolis & Omaha
Good looking 0-6-0 yard switcher built by Alco-Schenectady in January of 1921 as an M-3 class member. With the diligent research efforts of Chuck Zeiler, here are some specs on this little loco - serial #62615, 51" drivers, 190 psi boiler pressure, 12x28" cylinders, estimated engine weight of 165,000 lb, tractive effort of 39,100 lb. The loco remained on the CMO roster through July 1, 1953. Final disposition date is unknown. Thanks, Chuck, for the info. The photographer was listed as Cooke but the exact day in September of 1938 was not. Does anyone know when this loco was finally retired?
