PRR 2258, EF-25, 1964
Everyday. Here is an original photo that I took of Pennsylvania Railroad locomotives in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, on 30 August 1964. Shown here (L to R) are PRR engines #2258 and #2262. Both are EF-25's built by EMD in 1964 and rated at 2,500 horsepower each. They are passing through the Bedford Street crossing on their way to East Altoona after pulling a 75-car mixed-cargo freight train into the Hollidaysburg Yards. The caboose was #477966. Partially visible on the left is the intersection of Allegheny, Bedford, Blair, and Broad Streets.
