Tom Beckett General Yes, this is the old passenger station here. There are a number of them on the line that are still standing, some used by various departments(MOW, signal, bridge & building) as a base of operations. The Transcon was never an important passenger route. The only "name" train that ran here was the Grand Canyon. Most of the passenger fleet ran via Dodge City and Raton Pass. There is a really good shot for a westbound passing the station in the afternoon at Mountainair, as well as a substantial station at Panhandle, Tex, if you are in either of those areas. 8/23/2016 4:14:18 AM
