UPP 809-Auxiliary Water Tender  Contributor's Pick!       
UP usually totes 2 water cars around with their steamers, but UPP 814 is currently undergoing rebuild back in Cheyenne, Wyoming at UP's Steam Shops. They are original steam locomotive tenders, but were used with the 8,500 Horsepower "Big Blow" UP Gas Turbines.

C.S. Jackson General They're more likely come from a UP 3800 Series Challengers (the original Challengers built in 1936-1937 time frame). Too bad they lost the engines they were following in the 1950's and 1960's. 9/7/2007 3:14:07 PM
