| Originally built as Class E loco in 1917, it was converted to a Class E-S in 1941 and wore the number 1617. The number was changed in 1952 to 617. They were used in fast passenger service on the Chicago-Minneapolis run known as the "Dakota 400." Actual date and photo location unknown. |
