MISSY G General I didn't know if this engine was real, I saw it in the Moel Railroading magazine. Kool engine. BUT take the George bush off it. 8/14/2006 12:56:11 PM
evan touw General o calm down, what counts is that it's a beautiful locomotive! 9/25/2006 6:07:56 PM
aldou harxk General Beatufiul, think they should commision a full time loco for the president in office, like air force one....but train force two or soemthing 12/21/2006 9:33:14 PM
G Gerard General Actually, I think there is RR equipment assigned to the office of the President or at least there used to be. The car was called US railroad car #1. It was the Ferdinand Magellan recently stored at the RR museum in Miami. It has been used by recent presidents. Museum visitors can walk through it. It is a beautiful car. 1/24/2007 8:49:39 AM
Zach Pumphery General This is an SD70ACe, not an SD70M. UP can paint their units the way they want--they own them. I didn't see any other presidential libraries hosting railroad-related exhibits for a full year. 6/13/2007 7:27:40 PM
Mark Heidorn General Good point. Fixed. 6/14/2007 8:53:22 PM

matthew kestel General Nice locomotive but i often wondered why didnt they do one for Abe Lincoln or the connnecting of the coasts and the transcontintenal railroad? So is it true UP has a camo locomotive for the troops over seas? or is it just a model? 4/24/2008 4:18:36 PM
Mark Heidorn General UP painted an SD40 family loco (don't recall the dash #) in the same camo patern that was used in Desert Storm 1991. I believe it carried the names of UP employees in theater. If I understand correctly it has since been repainted. 4/24/2008 9:11:12 PM
nicholas hauser General UP 3593 Desert Storm Victory. It was an SD40-2 and carried the names of the employees who served. They repainted it because they kept losing it in the desert. Just kidding. 1/23/2009 1:15:55 PM
