SP 2740
SP 2740 MP15AC is idling with an SW1500 at Englewood Yard on a cloudy afternoon. SP 2740 is notable for keeping her full SP light package well into 1995 and for having an amber beacon, recently repainted red paint, non standard font used for "2740" below the headlights, a "Kansas City" stencil below the cabside road number, a silver horn, and recently repainted white handrail ends. Delivered to SP in September 1975, this switcher would keep the same number throughout the life of Southern Pacific becoming UPY 1468 on May 31, 2002.
