GCRY Yard |
Description: |
This view is looking east from Grand Canyon Boulevard, which is just east of the Grand Canyon Railway station. On the extreme right is the BNSF line from Phoenix, seen here climbing up to Williams Junction where it will joint the former ATSF main line. Next is the GCRY main line to Grand Canyon. To the left of the first power pole are the two F40's on the day's 13-car excursion train. This is where the train or trains are parked over night. It will soon pull ahead and then back into the station on the main line for a 9:30 departure. To the left of the track machine are "Boise Budds" 304, 404 and 402; and on the extreme left, reflecting the morning sun, is appropriately named coach 7609 BRIGHT ANGEL. |
