Title:  SAL 2-10-0 #501 - Seaboard Air Line
Description:  In 1918, 857 2-10-0 decapods were built by Baldwin and Alco for the Russian Government but when the empire was overthrown, the locomotives were sold to American lines with 34 of these going to Seaboard Air Line. According to one source, the decapods, called "Russians" by SAL, were "ideal for logging and phosphate service on light-rail branches in Florida." Title:  Russian Decapod
Description:  At the request of the Czarist Russian government, ALCO built around a thousand of these light weight Decapods during WWI. Around 800 had been delivered before the Bolshevik revolution when deliveries ceased, leaving 200+ engines in the US. The USRA took them and distributed them to various railroads. Six examples still survive today, with Frisco 1630 at IRM being the "live one".
