Title:  SOU 4-8-2 #1499 - Southern Rwy
Description:  Buiolt by Alco-Richmond in MAy of 1919, Southern Rwy 4-9-2 #1499 was a powerful addition to the Southern roster. Here it's heading up a long string of passenger cars. The loco lasted until being scrapped in March of 1953 at Hayne, SC. Specs - 69" drivers, 27 x 30" cylinders, a 200 psi boiler pressure, weighed 327,000 pounds and exerted 53,900 lbs of tractive effort.No date location or photographer was listed for the photo.

Title:  CNTP 4-8-2 #6496 - Cincinnati, New Orleans & Texax Pacific
Description:  Great action shot of a 4-8-2 Mountain type steam locomotive roaring along a trestle bridge with a very long string of baggage and passenger cars. Originally built by Alco-Richmond in May of 1919 as Southern 4-8-2 Mountain type loco #1496. it was later renumbered as a Southern Rwy subsidiary, Cincinnati, New Orleans & Texas Pacific #6496, although the tender still carried the Southern label. The loco was retired and presumedly scrapped in November of 1951 after nearly 32 years of service to the Southern and its subsidiary. No date, location or photographer was listed for this photo unfortunately so approximates were used.
