Description:  An ex-TFM and a TFM lead a train past the yard at North Grandview. The train was routed into, then back out of the siding here. It was stopped at the south end by a red signal. They never met a northbound, and the train was given a green to proceed south.

Description:  NS Southbound Intermodal Train 225 ( Atlanta, Ga. to Meridian, Ms. ) passing through Lipscomb, Al. as they duck under the cantilever MP 151 signal with KCSM 4568 in charge, an interesting consist for 225 as it normally has complete UP or NS consists or a mix of UP & NS, rarely does KCS power run on 225/226 so a nice change from the typical UP & NS power that runs on this train. 225 runs as Z-ATLA via KCS to Shreveport, La. then as Z-AILC via UP ( Atlanta, Ga. to Los Angeles, Ca. )

Coal DPU
Title:  Coal DPU
Description:  I heard a southbound coming into town and beat it for Westville, since thats usually where I can catch up to the train. When I got there, no train, so I started working back north. It turned out to be a southbound TXUX coal train that had stopped at Watts to look for a hot box that had a hit on the detector, and the crew was walking the train. I got the DPU, a mix of KCS, KCSM and BNSF power at the north end of town. It would be a fruitful, but short, chase today, finally in some sun after two weeks of gloom.

Description:  I started south to see if I could intercept the 181 as it came up from Westville. I didnt get far. He was passing the detector at MP 238 when I came around the curve. A quick U turn, and I was able to get this tele shot as he came up the tangent. Long train today; 61 stack platforms, 21 auto racks, and 10 articulated racks.

A gray and a Belle
Title:  A gray and a Belle
Description:  Now that the Belle scheme has been in use for almost 20 years, I always like to see one in the lead, especially since it looks so much nicer than the gray. I should appreciate the gray diesels more, since there are now so few of them. The SD 70MACs got all repainted, and most are now off the roster; the first order of SD70ACe's is also repainted, as finally are the AC44's. About the only group not painted Belle now are some of the KCSM older GEs, one of which is leading the 181 here at Ballard Creek.

Description:  I got scooped by the poles in this one, but I had no control over where the actual meet would occur, though the 4821 wasnt moving. Parking is an issue, as there is no paved shoulder here, you have to climb the curb into the grass. Anyway, in one of those "Close but no cigar" shots, as in TRP, the 181 on the right, passes the 262, on the left, and a couple of lineside poles.
