Description:  Here is an original photo by Douglas C. Jones that was taken from the 17th Street Bridge in the Juniata section of Altoona, Pennsylvania, c. 1953. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6899, an M-1 (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during October of 1926 and retired in June of 1959. Above and to the left of it is PRR engine #6722, an M-1A (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by Baldwin during May of 1930 and retired in August of 1955. Above and to the right of it is PRR engine #6727, an M-1A (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by Baldwin during May of 1930 and retired in August of 1956.

Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6899, an M-1 (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during October of 1926 and retired in June of 1959 after 33 years of faithful service. In this context, it's rockin' 'n' rollin' with a fully-loaded mineral train.
