NYC E7A #4003 - New York Central
Title:  NYC E7A #4003 - New York Central
Description:  By this time in its life, this EMD E7A unit is showing the rust, wear and lack of maintenance. #4003 was involved in a serious wreck near Conneaut, OH, on 3/27/1953. It was rebuilt by EMD into an E8A unit although not renumbered. Although the slides were marked April of 1975, I believe these may have been taken before the PC takeover. Robert M. Rose slide

NYC 4003 & 4045 - New York Central
Title:  NYC 4003 & 4045 - New York Central
Description:  Although still waring the E7A number, #4003 was rebuilt by EMD to an E8A after being wrecked near Conneaut, OH, on 3/27/1953. Although the slide by Robert M. Rose is marked as April of 1975, I believe this was taken prior to the PC merger as none of the locos on the roll had any PC markings.

NYC 4020 & 4003 - New York Central
Title:  NYC 4020 & 4003 - New York Central
Description:  Although both of these are wearing the original E7A numbers, both were rebuilt by EMD into E8A after a serious wreck near Conneaut, OH, on 3/27/1953. Although the slide by Robert M. Rose is marked April of 1975, I believe the film roll was taken prior to the PC merger as none of the units show the PC markings.
