Jim Shepard slide. GE made the Soo a generous offer: The Soo was allowed to trade 14 GE's (U30C's, Milw U36C's, Milw U23B's) in exchange for 20 former Conrail GP9's. This gave GE 14 units that could be rebuilt or parted out; It gave Soo 20 GP9's which were used in a rebuild program. The 7444 was rebuilt into Soo 4103 |
