Originally built by EMD in April of 1947 as NYC E7A #4020, it was rebuilt by EMD into an E8A unit. It became part of the PRR/NYC merger roster first as PC E8A #4020 and later as PC #255 seen here in passenger service. I believe it moved over to the Amtrak roster at a later date. This is a Paul Kuehner action photo. |
