Southern Rwy 2-8-0 Consolidation #842 was built by Baldwin in 1906. It had a couple rebuilds with the last being in 1921. On the back of the photo were the specs after the 1921 rebuild - serial #29123, Ks class, 57" drivers, 22.5x30" cylinders, 215 psi boiler pressure, engine weight of 208,000 lb, tractive effort of 46,000 lb. All 3148 members in the Ks class were retired by 1953. No photographer listed. |
