Robert Hess (see comment below) has identified the first helper loco as a PRR J1 or J1a class 2-10-4 while the second may be an I1sa 2-10-0 loco. Very much appreciate the help in correctly identifying the locos, Robert! Unfortunately, no additional information like date or photographer as well as locomotive numbers was given for the photo. But, it stands as a true iconic view into the steam era! |
