Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #5882 and #5874. Both are EP-20's built by GM-EMD in April of 1949 and rated at 2,000 horsepower each. Note the contrast between the "old" and the "new" paint schemes.

Description:  Oil Power. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of (R to L) Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9594 and at least five more "BF" Class units whose road numbers are not recorded. All were built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works. #9594 was constructed in April of 1951, rated at 1,600 horsepower, and retired in July of 1966 after just 15 years of revenue service. Looks to me like they've all been marshalled for the Recycling Center . . . alas. The photographer's name, the exact date, and the location are not recorded. Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engine #2026 and another "BF" Class unit whose road number is not recorded. #2026 is a BF-16 built by Baldwin-Lima-Hamilton in April of 1952, rated at 1,600 horsepower, and retired in January of 1967 after just 15 years of revenue service. Looks to me like it's blown a gasket or two! Note the white pigeon, perched on the bridge, observing the action. Produced and distributed by the Lake Shore Railway Historical Society.

Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6511 an another unit whose road number is not recorded. Both are GF-25A's built by General Electric. #6511 was constructed in November of 1965. They're crossing the tracks of another railroad, an intersection monitored by MOUNDS Tower. Produced and distributed by Dave's Slides of Delaware, Ohio.

Description:  Oil Power. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide by an unidentified photographer that was taken near Perdix, Pennsylvania, c. 1967. Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #7059, #7085, and #7096. All are EFS-17M's built by GM-EMD in 1956: #7059 was built in October, while #7085 and #7096 were built in November. They're passing BANKS Tower with a train of empty hoppers bound for Altoona and the coal mines in Western Pennsylvania. Blue Mountain dominates the distance.

Note the presence of "Radio Equipped" labels and the corresponding lack of Train Phone antennae.
