Algers, Winslow & Western SD9!!!!
Description:
My only time I witnessed old Algers, Winslow and Western SD9s. Taken at the Indiana Eastern Railroad yard, July 25, 2019. I also saw AWW SD9 #206 pulling the train north into the yard. AWW #205, however is stored on an overgrown track and not being used. I hope this engine operates again. Indiana Eastern got a high hood GP38-2 that was being prepped for paint at this time! They started using it later in 2019. I do not know if AWW SD9 #206 is being used. A worker though said it was going to be back up power to the GP38-2! However, recently (March 2020) sister railroad Squaw Creek Southern scrapped the other two AWW SD9s (there were 4 total)! Glad I got two on this trip. Photo taken with permission. Bessemer SD38!!!!
Description:
This is only my 2nd time to "The Bessemer" tracks in my life! Didn't catch a B&LE train working. This is all we saw! Luckily it is still around. I have never witnessed the "Black Bessemer" with IC SD70s (used from 2015-2021)! This SD38 is still painted in DMIR colors. An eastbound Canadian Pacific train with Delaware & Hudson GP38-2 #7304 passes the Ford Motor Co. owned Michigan Central depot, Detroit, MI, August 11, 2019. This is being fixed to become Fords "Autonomous Vehicle Division" office! Tracks will be restored to the station for the possible return of passenger trains. It sat vacant and derelict for years. The last Amtrak train was in 1988. I only saw the inside as a kid in 1991 and it was crumbling then. My first time catching a D&H unit! (Canon AE-1 35mm camera, Fuji C200 print film) Before this I mailed a disposable camera to Gordon Davis of Plattsburgh, NY. "Restored" ex SOO SD60!!!!

I came upon this locomotive with a friend! They were switching Lake State's Saginaw Yard! This ex SOO SD60's lettering has miraculously been "Restored" once again! Thank You Lake State! Hopefully it will stay like this! This is the best picture I got of it that night and I hope to catch it again! Last time I saw CEFX 6020 was on a CN train in Holly, MI, 3-30-2019!
